MARATHON was seen passing Rozenburg on 24th March 1975.

With many thanks to Miraflores for the weblinks he so helpfully supplied, it is now confirmed that the vessel was built at Kinderdyk in 1904 as the small steamer BEVERWYK for Beverwyk Nieuwe Rijnvaart Maatschappij NV, Amsterdam, and was converted to motor ship between 1946 and 1952

MARATHON, owned by J.W. Vijfhuizen of Zwijndrecht, was scrapped in 1977
