Description:
German cargovessel ANTJE is here seen in the North Sea in may 1994. She was built 1989 by Sietas, Hamburg, and was of their type 132, heavylift carrier. According to the Sietas-history she had 2 cranes each with a capacity of 100 tons, while Lloyds Register say 150 tons.
In 1996 she was renamed SEA BREEZE.
In 1998 she was sold to Briese Schiffahrt, Leer, and placed under Antigua-registry as SJARD.
27.1.2002 she was on her way to St.John's, Newfoundland loaded with pipes for the oil industry, when she sank in bad weather following water ingress. The crew of 14 were picked up by the trawler BEIRAMAR TRES.
