Description:

All information sourced from the National Historic Ships UK website.

BUILT: 1956
LxB: 15.8 x 4.1m
BUILDER: Fairlies
HULL: Wood
PROPULSION: Motor
FUNCTION: Fighting vessel
SUB-FUNCTION: Landing craft
VESSEL TYPE: HLD 52
EX-NAME(S): Arab D58

After much searching around the web, I'd be interested to know what HLS means. There's also a HLD type of vessel but I have no idea what that means.

I've looked at the MOD abbreviations/acronyms. HLD could be Harbour Launch Diesel which would mean HLS mean Harbour Launch Steam maybe.
