Description:

DSR Reefer G. WEERTH in bound Rotterdam, mid eighties.
She was delivered to the Laiesz Group in 1967 form the Scotts Shipyard at Greenock (#710). In 1974 she was sold to DSR and renamed G. WEERTH. Georg Weerth was a German poet described in Wikipedia as follows.

"Georg Ludwig Weerth was a German writer and poet. Weerth's poems celebrated the solidarity of the working class in its fight for liberation from exploitation and oppression"

In short, for DSR a proper candidate to deserve having a ship named after him.

In 1990 the ship was sold on to Panama and renamed Cherry Blossom. She was eventually broken up in 1993 at Chittagong.
