Interestingly, both Equasis and IMO.org give false information regarding the ship's name history, stating that it would have been YAMAL ORLAN from the beginning, when in fact built as BBC CONGO, as correctly stated above in Vessel particulars. I haven't encountered this before.

Only the company Briese Schiffahrt Group can answer this for sure. How they built and for whom.
