WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
Offloading units at Southampton Docks.
Note: I was on IONA which proved to be an absolute nightmare for taking photographs. For those who are familiar with cruises, the only adequate area(s) for taking somewhat decent photo's are on the bow (Deck 8). The stern is satisfactory if you don't mind mingling with 200+ people who are quaffing at the outside stern bar with its numerous seating areas, which, if I'm honest, didn't appeal to me one bit especially with young kids pushing past and doing what they do best, being a nuisance.
As for the guardrail, which runs the entirety of the ship, the builders/designers for some unknown reason, have added extra windows above the guard-rail with the absolute minimum spacing to put your lens through.
I've attempted to tidy up the above photograph but as you can see there are reflections that are unavoidable.
Apologies if this doesn't meet with site rules.
