Description:

Among the ships which passed Portishead on 21st July 1963 was the 1960 Le Havre built reefer KANGA of Cie. Maritime des Chargeurs Reunis. In November 1971, she was sold to C.Avramides of Athens to trade as AMVRAKIKOS. Continuing to trade between northern Europe and West Africa, she called at Southampton in mid 1972, although this photograph is thought to have been taken at London's Royal Docks.

On 12 July 1973, she sailed from Rouen to Piraeus for repairs, arriving on 30 July. There, on 17 October 1973, she suffered a fire and was beached. The wreck was scrapped at Ambelaki during September 1978.
