British GORJISTAN is here seen at Las Palmas in February 1971.
She was built 1961 at South Shields for Strick Line Ltd; a company controlled by P & O.
In 1973 cargo vessels from various P & O controlled companies were gathered in P & O Dry Cargo division.
From 1975 P & O wanted a similar naming system for their vessels, and GORJISTAN was renamed STRATHATLOW.
In 1978 she was sold to Egypt and renamed NILE U.
On 23.06.1983 she arrived at Bombay, India for demolition.
