Description:
Halfdan Ditlev-Simonsen of Norway's 1973 Gijon built container ship VENABU, which was lengthened in 1974 and purchased in 1989, in the Manchester Ship Canal at Ellesmere Port on 30th August 1990.

She was actually lengthened in 1974, and from the looks of it, they may have considered a gantry crane, but I have not seen pictures fitted with one. The extra bridge floor is probably required to keep visibility acceptable with higher stowed containers.
but my original question remains : What did she it...the bow did not look like on most pictures around....

As i have seen on the fotoflite-picture, it was quite a nice vessel when built.
@Pieter: Unfortunately I don't know where she buckled her nose either.
