Yes, there used to be others on this site. And the information on them included the fact she's always had the name BLUE PETER as a yacht, but was taken over by the U. S. Army in WWII and designated Q134. The Army Corps of Engineers ended up with her and they named her CANOL. She was auctioned back into private ownership in 1948 and bought by revered historian H. W. McCurdy of Seattle.

Her name is BLUE PETER. At one time there used to be a photograph of her on this site but it appears to no longer exist.

You're right. I would have sworn I had added a photo or two of BLUE PETER before, but it seems I hadn't. I've got a few good views from this year I'll upload, showing her bedecked with a full marching band aboard, no less!
