Russian tanker YAN SUDRABKALN is here seen at Le Havre in November 1982.
She was built 1979 at Kherson in present Ukraina for USSR-Latvian Shipping Co.
As often with Russian vessels there is some difference in translation of the names. In registers this vessel's first name is YAN, while on the wheelhouse the first part of name is written as JAN.

In 1991 she was transferred to Latvian registry, and name amended to JANIS SUDRABKALNS. In 1996 she was transferred to Cyprus flag.
On 05.05.2003 this tanker arrived at Chittagong, Bangladesh for demolition.
