BAMBY, built at Arendal (Norway) in 1917, had passed Portishead on 29th August 1963 during a call at Bristol or Avonmouth.
Here, she is seen as the Stavanger registered SVANHOLM passing Eastham Ferry, inbound for the Manchester Ship Canal, on 14th May 1955 by Dr. George Wilson (image scanned from his negative)

In 1961, SVANHOLM was sold to Gosta S.Lindstrom of Porvoo (Finland) who had also operated the small cargo ships VIOLA and SVANO (IMO 5346409)
