Description:
Good Faith Shipping (Nikolaos Frangos and Nicholas G.Moundreas) had, between 1977 and 1984, owned the GOOD TRADER, photographed at anchor in the Scheldt exactly forty years ago today, on 17th September 1983. She arrived in the anchorage from Piraeus on 5th June 1983 for orders and proceeded to load a cargo, probably of grain, at Rouen, sailing on 27th September 1983 for Maputo.
Built at Bilbao in 1973 as VALLE DE AYALA, she was sold in 1974 to Kuwait Shipping Co and renamed IBN KHALDOUN as which she was declared a "Constructive Total Loss" in 1975 and sold by insurers in 1977 to Good Faith Shipping.
She subsequently traded under a number of different names as follows: 1984 ARROW I - 84 LEGEND - 85 TYHI - 88 CHIOS STAR - 88 PACIFIC CRYSTAL - 89 LAUREL STAR (she arrived at Singapore on 4th April 1994 and is still listed under that name in Lloyds Shipping Index of 30th December 1996)
However, Miramar says that, in 1994, she was renamed SWAN 168, then in 1996 further renamed GRAND OCEAN, as which she was towed from Singapore on 17th September 1996 to breakers
Former name(s):

- Tyhi (Until 1988)
- Legend (Until 1985)
