Description:

Danish passenger ferry JENS KOFOED is here seen working in the ice at Ystad in January 1982. This vessel was at that time sailing in regular traffic between Copenhagen, Rønne (Bornholm) and Ystad (Southern Sweden).
She was built 1979 at Aalborg Værft, Aalborg.

In 2005 she was sold to Finnish owners and renamed ECKERÖ.
In 2009 she was transferred from Finnish to Swedish flag, and as such she is still in service now in 2023.

She looked so handsome in this 'conventional' livery.

Yes, this was her original livery before she got the white hull. The same change of livery happened also to her sistervessel POVL ANKER.
