I photographed the Yugoslavian cargo liner KRASICA anchored off Dubai in August 1977.
The vessel was almost brand new then; as she entered service just a couple of months earlier.
She was built by Warnowwerft, Warnemünde, and was of the Meridian II type.
Unfortunately this vessel would not have so many years of service ahead.

On 07.10.1980 she was shelled by Iranians while in Basrah, and was left detained in Shatt al-Arab.
In 1990 the wreck was sold to Panama flag owners and renamed ETHNOS, but I believe she continued her stay in Shatt al-Arab.
In 1996 the vessel was abandoned by her owners, and deleted from registers.
