Description:
Panamanian KASHIMA is here photographed at Kokura, Japan in October 1991.
She was built 1977 by Onomichi Zosen, Onomichi as heavylift cargo vessel KASHIMA MARU for Japanese owners. Her largest derrick had a capacity of 240 tons.
Sold to Panama in 1987 and renamed KASHIMA.
In 1998 the vessel was rebuilt to vehicle carrier.
In 2000 she was renamed MORNING RISE.
Arrived at Shanghai 4/9-2009 for demolition.
