The Russian Navy's 'oceanographic survey' vessel Evgeniy Gorigledzhan is seen here northbound in the Storebælt on 16 Oct 2023. Reportedly she was converted at Yantar shipyard at Kaliningrad, from the 1983-built former naval tug MB-305, the Ilga. Now a Neftegaz-type on steroids, as it were.

Thankfully she's sailing after soooo many years spent at the Yantar shipyard under the conversion.

A thread in Russian about this project, with some in-build photos: http://forums.airbase.ru/2016/03/t92685--ois-evgenij-gorigledzhan-proekta-02670.html

I have read reports which say that she might be employed mainly in the Med and Black Seas.
