Description:
The Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive's (until 1969 the Borough of Wallasey's) 1951 Dumbarton built ferry ROYAL IRIS in the River Mersey on 6th August 1983.
November 1991: sold for conversion into a floating nightclub, restaurant and conference centre, based in Liverpool
2002: towed from Cardiff to Woolwich, awaiting a possible refit as a floating nightclub - subsequently abandoned
