Dutch cargo / container vessel LYS RANGER is here photographed at Kristiansand in January 1999.
She was launched 1997 by Tille Scheepsw, Kootstertille as HEEREPOORT, but went straight on charter to the Norwegian Lys Line, and she was delivered as LYS RANGER.
In 2000 her charter ended, and she reverted to HEEREPOORT.

In 2004 she was sold to French owners who renamed her CAPO NERO. Shortly thereafter she was rebuilt to cement carrier.
Still in service as such now in 2023.
