Renamed ASSALAMA in June 2007 and redirected to the Morocco-Canary Islands route. On June 30, 2008, the ship left the Moroccan port of Tarfaya en route to Puerto del Rosario on Fuerteventura. Shortly after departure, the ferry struck a breakwater in difficult sea conditions. The ship quickly listed and became unsteerable. All 113 people on board were evacuated.
