MSC-owned Cyprus-registered container vessel MEE MAY is here seen in the North Sea in September 1988.
This vessel was built 1970 by Howaldtswerke, Hamburg as general cargo vessel for HAPAG-Lloyd.
Her history is as follows:
1970: Delivered as ERLANGEN (W. Germany)
1979: Rebuilt on the Weser to container vessel (new, longer midbody)
1979: ERLANGEN EXPRESS (W. Germany)
1981: INCOTRANS PROGRESS (W. Germany)
1982: ERLANGEN EXPRESS (W. Germany)
1986: MEE MAY (Cyprus)
1994: MSC MEE MAY (Cyprus)
1997: MSC MEE MAY (Panama)
8/4-2009: Arrived at Gadani Beach, Pakistan for demolition.
