I now have the information that I wanted regarding the demise of the Bali Sea Dancer. She ran cruises under that name in Indonesian waters between 1995 and 1998. Political unrest had caused a decline in cruises passengers and the ship was laid up in Bali. She was sold to an Ecudorian company and was to be used on cruises around the Galapagos Islands. She was renamed Galapagos Discoverer and on the 29th October 1999, while being prepared for her new role at Balboa, Panama, she caught fire and was totally destroyed and her remains were later broken up in situ.

Hi Martin,
yes, thank you for adding that other one.
By the way, would you have any photos of Polish Ocean Lines' ships visiting asian ports at that time?
They are so scarce.
Kind regards,
Marcin

According to that history she was destroyed by fire at Bilbao, Spain. That is not correct, it is my understanding that she was near Panama when she burned.

By the way, the ship in the background seems to be "SIMEON TH", IMO 7716402:
