She was built 1948 by Alex. Stephen & Sons, Govan, as KARANJA for British India S.N. Co. Ltd, London.
Sold 1976 to The Shipping Corp. of India, and renamed NANCOWRY.
In 12/1988 demolition commenced at Bombay, just 2 months after the vessel had "celebrated" 40 years of service.
