On 2nd February 1964, sixty years ago today, N.V. Mij Vrachtvaart of Rotterdam's 1957 P.Smit Jr. built TOWA arrived at Avonmouth from Cape Town with general cargo. Here, she is seen departing from Rotterdam on 2nd August 1966, bound for East Africa via Houston, shortly before being sold to Koninklijke Java-China-Paketvaart Lijnen NV and renamed STRAAT TOWA.
