Description:

Aegis Blaze down at the bow with the navy tug Collie alongside - note she has her lifeboat swung out. The ship sustained a leak in the forward hold and proceeded slowly to shallow waters (North East Kent coast) to prevent sinking. Many Thanks to Yvon Perchoc for providing the details.

Hi,
According to The Hull Daily Mail, this occured on July 15th 1981. The ship sustained a leak in forward hold, and proceeded slowly to shallow waters (North East Kent coast) to prevent sinking.
