A TYPE B438/4 semi-container ship ordered by PLO (Polish Ocean Lines) from the Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk in April 1972, as the fourth ship of this type. The launch took place on June 28, 1974, and the ship was put into operation on November 30, 1974. The shipowner intended the ship to service the line to North American ports. The ship sailed on its first cruise from Gdynia on December 10, 1974. In April 1981, the ship collided with the Polish sailing ship Pogoria on the Elbe (near Cuxhaven). In the difficult 1980s for the PLO, the ship was moved to the Ports of South Africa and (finally) East Africa. In November 1999, scrapping of the ship began on Alang Beach.
