Yick Fung - like Ocean Tramping - was what was known as an 'outside company' in Hong Kong in the 70's and early 80's. A company controlled by the PRC. The' inside companies' being of course Jardines Indo China Navigation Coy and Butterfield and Swires - aka China Nav -and the like.
A favoured flag at the time was Somali.
