KUTNO II, a bulk carrier built at the Georgi Dimitrov Shipyard in Varna for PZM (POLSTEAM), according to the Polish B451A design. The keel (shipyard number NB236) was laid on March 10, 1969. The launching took place on September 6 of the same year. Completion of construction and handover to the shipowner on March 14, 1970. The ship set sail from Szczecin on April 7, 1970 - with coal to Denmark. In November 1976, it was seriously damaged by the Polish tanker GORCE near the port of Szczecin, and in January 1977 it collided with the German ship CHERRY on the approach to Brunsbuttel. On June 8, 1982, the ship was handed over to the newly established company Żegluga Polska. After completing the journey, No. 800 POD POLSKA BANDERAM was sold and handed over to a Greek shipowner in Gdynia (March 19, 1991). With the name changed to UNITY V, it sailed under the flag of Honduras, later St.Vincent & The Grenadines. From August 2003 it was called LADY LAYAL (flag of North Korea), and from July 2006 LADY RINA (flag of Georgia). After main engine failure, it crashed on September 26, 2008 on the rocks near SILE, on the Turkish Black Sea coast. Fortunately, the entire ship's crew was saved.
