Former US Navy Submarine USS Thornback SS-418. She was built at a Tench class submarine and saw service in the Pacific during WW2. After the war she was convertedto a Guppy Class Submarine. When she was decommisioned she was sold to the Turkish Navy in 1971 and renamed TCG Uluçalireis. She served another 30 years with the Turkish Navy. She is now a museum submarine and bearthed in Canakkale at the Navy Museum
