The ship, built in the Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk, survived 40 years of operation! This fact speaks very well of its designers, builders and people who have worked on this ship for 40 years. I think I have the right to be proud! My professional life began in this shipyard. At that time (over 55 years ago) I was a student at the CONRADINUM Shipbuilding Technical School and (like all my colleagues) I completed internships in all departments of the shipyard. My teachers were constructors, construction managers and ordinary employees of production departments. It is a pity that this shipyard, the most distinguished for Polish shipbuilding, did not survive. It was the first to fall victim to the changes that took place in Poland after June 1989.

Thank you for your interesting comment. Regrettably British shipbuilding went the same way.
