Fairplay-85 is less than 30 meters long and has a bollard pull of 90.60 tons. The unit can reach a speed of 12.5 knots. It was built in the Spanish shipyard Astilleros Armon and handed over to the shipowner in 2015
The tug has a hybrid drive. Fairplay-85 achieves the greatest power, and therefore the maximum pull on the pile, in the "boost" mode, when the unit's electric motors are powered by three generators. In turn, in the "eco" mode, the ship operates on one generator. The next ones are turned on when necessary.
