In 1977 she was sold to Greek owners and became DAPO STAR. Several other names followed and she finally went to Alang breakers as STARDRILL in 1992

Paul - If you don't know already the pre-fix "DAPO" is derived from the owners surnames - Davos and Pothitos. In the late 70's., Pothitos bought Davos out and the style of name changed to "Evpo". This was the owner who saw the 2.5mt Wimpey caterpillar cranes on building sites in Nottingham and thought I'll put them on the ore carriers , which he did , port side only , with the full approval of LKloyd's Register . Clever man - He made a fortune in the Nigerian cement Bagged trade, unless others :-D

I did know about the Dapo names but not Evpo so thanks for that. They were still regulars in Glasgow even after renaming.
Would like to see a pic of the ships with the cranes, though!! :-)
