Description:
She was first ship to be built in Poland after World War II and the first seagoing ship completed in Poland. She was built in Gdansk (the keel was laid in 1948), and set sail on the open sea. Retired in January 1981, she had completed 1379 journeys – during her 31 years in service she carried almost 4 million tons of cargo and visited over 60 different ports. Touring the ship you will find many authentic elements and become familiar with the construction of the ship. The Soldek Ship is home to a branch of the Maritime Museum. The museum on board is open during the summer months from 10 AM to 6 PM.
