Description:

CRUISER was completed in 1953 by Hall Russell at Aberdeen for Steel and Bennie of Glasgow.
This shot was taken in 1969 along with another Steel and Bennie stablemate waiting for the launch of the OCL container ship JERVIS BAY at the former Fairfield shipyard by this time Upper Clyde Shipbuilders, Govan Division.
Not long after, she was sold to the Ardrossan Harbour Co and renamed ARDNEIL under which name I think she is still sailing although having been sold on a few times and receiving a more modern funnel.
