Hi Robert

The ferry is still not in service - staff training continues and the vessel awaits full certification,

Nice photograph although the angle seems to make her look smaller tha she really is :-)

You wouldn't have been able to take a photograph like that today as we have fog on the Tyne :-(

Hi Steve,

Yes, she was running up and down the river all the time I was there. Do you have any details of her, she's not yet on Equasis.

It was a good couple of hours, I dont get up to the Tyne often and to be honest, its the first time I've seen the sun there...

Cheers

Bob

Hi Bob

Perhaps information is scant due to the fact that she still has to receive her license from the Maritime Coast Guard Agency (MCA)?

The £1.9m ferry was fabricated at the Intervak Shipyard in Harlingen Netherlands and fitted out at the VT Halmatic shipyard in Portchester, Hampshire.

She was recently named by HRH Princess Anne. One unusual event was the use of 100 play acting passengers who volunteered to take part in an exercise to test the ferries evacuation systems and procedures. They each received a £5 Marks and Spencers voucher for taking part
