Hello Aleksi,

Thanks to a Finnish friend the vessel in your picture is identified as the NIEDERELBE.

Find her at (finnish language):
http://www.soulship.fi/

The current owner of NIEDERELBE is Tomi Isopahkala.

NIEDERELBE in my files (data provided by another friend some years ago):
NIEDERELBE built 1937 by Luehring – Werft at Hammelwarden, Germany.
Building Nr.: 207
Measures as built: L 33.81m, B 7.02m, D 2.62m, GRT 200, NRT 93, Sailarea 231qm, Engine: Deutsche Werke Kiel Diesel 150 HP
Measures after rebuilt in 1955: L 44.31, B 7.02, D 2.96, GRT 298, NRT 199, no sails,
Engine: ?
It seems like the length given is the hull length.
NIEDERELBE was built as a sister vessel to AAR. As long as NIEDERELBE had her 3 masts stepped she made use of her sails (until 1955).
In 1968 she suffered a fire off the Finnish coast. Repairs in Germany were too costly so she was sold to Finnish owners. The change of name took place at the time of repairs finished.
