Hello,

this is definitely a KYNDA-class cruiser. First classified as a destroyer; later re-classified as a cruiser. There were only four vessels built. Unfortunately they very often changed their tactical numbers. Here are the names:

ADMIRAL GOLOVKO
ADMIRAL FOKIN
VARJAG
GROZNY

Maybe some other members can help?

Regards,
Holger

Hi Holger,

that's right. It's definitely a KOTLIN SAM 2 mod. class destroyer (cruiser). But there where built not only four vessels of this type! Nikolaev built 19 vessels of this type between 1954-58. Several vessels where upgraded to the SAM 2 type. So it's very difficult to say, which one it is, because their Hullnumbers are not registered in Weyers or Jane's!
