Description:

Opportunity to see port of Rijeka full of vessels reminds how it was there during the time when Jugolinija had the biggest liner fleet in the Mediterranean shipping. Their conventional cargo ship Nehaj was launched on 6th December, 1966. in 3.Maj shipyard and delivered on 5th March, 1967. Spent the whole career under the same name, only company name has changed to Croatia Line just few months before Nehaj ended her sailings. Arrived at Chittagong on 26th June, 1992 to be broken up. Thanks to Arshad Ali for pointing on the place of scrapping and to Croatian expert Marijan Žuvić who confirmed the details about breaking yard.

Molim, šteta bi bila da se ne sačuva i ovaj dio naše baštine, pogotovo nakon što su skoro sve slike iz arhive Jugolinije nestale, a ostatak mi zasada ne daju skenirati.

Well!!
She was very much beached at Sitalpur/Chittagong as I was the agent here for her delivery to the breakers.

She was always engaged on the lines from Adriatic to Asian ports; in the last time mainly to Calcutta, Mongla and other in Bay of Bengal. But, my data show that she loaded for the last time in Croatian ports in April, 1992 with destination Doha. As her sistership, Trsat was beached at Alang exactly at that time, and informations here told us that they were sold together for breaking in India, that is the reason for writing this comment. Anyhow, thank you for this information, but I'll check for more details if it is possible. She definitely went out of service in June, not in September as you can read in Miramar.
