in the mid80s she was a quite regular visitor in the Kiel-Canal. She was transporting military lorries and other fine things between the GDR (in charter to IFA - the state owned car and lorry producer in the GDR) and the Gulf Region. (Iran-Iraq War)
She was a converted tanker (Done in the 70s) with 2 stern ramps (1 starboard, 1 portside).
A very unusual looking ship.
I saw her definetly between 1985 and 1987, so the scrapping year 1981 must be wrong!
