Nice shot in lovely light. Unfortunatly when I visited in Feb the light wasn't as clear as this! Also didnt expect her to stay here this long. Wonder what is going on with her?

Regards,
John.

Thanks John,
We were indeed fortunate with the light and her position. No idea she had been there so long, as I only visit Lowestoft very occasionally in passing.
Will see if I can find out anything.

Derek

Hi Derek,

Nice shot. She has been at Lowestoft since the start of August 2006. When she arrived she said that she would only be in port for 3 weeks!!! She was then supposed to sail to Nigeria towing two landing craft (berthed further up river)
As far as I am aware she was suposed to be in Lowestoft for minor repiars. I'm guessing that one repair lead to another and another and another...
I don't know how much truth is in it but I have heard that her survey ticket has expired so she may not be going anywhere just yet.
Another rumour is that she is going for scrap but I don't know how much truth is in this either, the 'Grape-Vine' says that she is in an awful state. However, I hope she does set sail at some point as it would be nice to see her leave the port she was built at, but I guess time will tell

Regards
Ashley

Hi Ashley,
Thanks very much for all the info.
Obviously her smart paint work hides a few old wounds. Hope you manage to get a shot of her if she leaves.
regards
Derek
