Tomas - You cannot see it clearly in the photograph but, did'nt Thor Dahl have a Whale representing the "C" on their funnel which harked back to their whaling days [?] Also, was that photograph taken in Brunei at the Shell lay-up facility which they very efficiently ran during the mid 70's oil crisis when turbine V.L.C.C.'s became the Lepers of the Oceans [?]

You are perfectly right. The C on the funnel represented the name "Christensen", their family-last name. And the C was formed as a whale as well. Pretty weird stuff. But then again, allmost wiping out the worlds biggest animal are pretty strange as well, hehe!
