Yes it was just like a wall, you could see it come across the river estuary like a thick roll of carpet and then for 4-500m in front it was perfectly clear and then it hit and the temperature dropped alot, there was a little rain, two minutes later there was just a layer of fog and then 5 minutes after that it was almost gone, very spooky.

Wow, that is quite a fog bank! Very sharp boundary between fog and no fog, like a wall coming at you.
