Sadly, an engine incident in May of 2008 while assisting the Maritime Training vessel Empire State away from her pier put her out of service. It was announced recently that she has been stripped by her owner and sold to breakers. She will be getting chopped up sometime in the next few months.

A sad end to a fine old lady.
