The caper ORIENT BRILLIANCE seen badly damaged after she hit a rock off the port of SAN NICOLAS, PERU in September 2005, when she departed with a cargo of about 160,000 tonnes of iron ore for China.
she was about 7 degres lifted to the starboard and about 3 meters trimmed by the head after the incident...
emergency repairs were carried off San Nicolás and afterwards at Callao. She was sailed to China afterwards were permanment repairs were concluded at drydock.
