I was 3rd Mate on this ship when the photo was taken....I always remember watching the first episode of Brookside on board the day Channel 4 first broadcast 2nd Nov 1982..In May 2012 whilst holidaying in Dunoon I came down to Glasgow and walked down to the berth its certainly changed from 30yrs ago

This picture brings back memories. I remember seeing this exact image when this ship was moored there, I'd have been around 12 years old at the time and was with my dad. I had never seen such a huge boat up close. I remember that the original name was still partially visible beneath the black paint. Thanks so much for posting this image, great to see it exactly as I remembered, something I thought I'd never see again :)
