Thank you for the post and fine shot of the old girl. I had the opportunity to visit her this past Friday, but couldn't get too close. The young man at the marina said he couldn't let us near as "they're working on her now"... definitely activity on board, and two large tugs nearby on Saturday morning.
As I was typing this I received a call from family in Buffalo - TV news just reported that she was towed out this morning... destination unknown. Maritime Matters reported last week that she would be heading for Alang 'in the very near future. As that story was supposedly disputed by the owner - I guess we can hope for the best.
