Guys, it's the former JASON/EROS:

She's been laid up in Piraeus for a while now already, waiting for her Indian ocean cruise venture to finally start.

Brgds.

Ralph, she hasn't been in Piraeus for months. I believe she departed already last year bound for Indian waters.

Brgds,
Aleksi

P.S. Tim: sometimes (like in this case) it's worth a while to search on Shipspotting if any photos of the ship have been posted, that saves a lot of research time. :-) By the way, what connection does/did the STELLA POLARIS have with these sisters?

Thank You gentlemen - we always appreciate your responses.

AJL - no connection... only that Timbo had listed Stella Polaris as one of the previous names in his original post.

And - nice shots of her btw !
Thanks

Thank you Tim, that sometimes happens when the original text in the posting is changed; some parts in the comments become ununderstandable, didn't think of that when I made my comment.

Kind regards,
Aleksi

Hello Timbo...
A fine shot of a 40 year old classic - but I think some confusion with ID.
Below are three pages (although in Swedish) that may help clarify.

We believe the Ocean Odyessey is actually the former Iason / Jason / Eros of 1965.
Her superstructure / bridge is almost identical to the Stella Oceanis (ex. Aphrodite),
and though I can't find any reference to sister ships... both were built in 1965 at Monfalcone.
In the pictures on these pages it appears Stella has a more boats, and slightly different aft.
Other than that they are difficult to tell apart.

Sadly Stella Oceanis was scrapped at Alang in 2004,
and the wonderful Stella Polaris sank en route to restoration last fall.

Ocean Odessey (Eros - 1965)
Stella Oceanis (Aphrodite - 1965)
Stella Polaris - 1927

Thanks for posting !
