Description:

Stern view of the downbound BBC Australia as it approaches Lock 7 of the Welland Canal on the evening of July 14, 2007. This ship received adequate photo coverage as standing next to me are nfhobby and logan007.

BBC ships have been common sights in North America's Great Lakes in the summer of 2007. Quite often there cargo consists of large wind turbines which are being installed around the lakes in quantity. Between myself, logan007 and nfhobby talking while photographing this ship quite a bit of hot air was generated which could have run one of these turbines for a while.

Thanks for your comment! They are indeed good looking ships and have become much more numerous in the Great Lakes than in previous years.
