The yacht HAIDA-G is seen being refurbished at Marseille on 4th March 2001

A summary of the vessel's history follows, received from Hannover with many thanks:

Built in 1929 as the steel-hulled yacht HAIDA by Germania Werft, Kiel, Germany

Acquired by the US Navy, 25 October 1940;

Commissioned USS ARGUS (PY-14),13 February 1941;

Sold in 1946 and renamed SARINA

Sold in 1981 and renamed ROSENKAVALIER

Sold in 2000 and renamed HAIDA G.

HAIDA G.has been restored to her original condition and is still in service, from 2011 as DONA AMELIA.

A splendid ship, indeed. I've photographed her in 02.02 in La Ciotat having read her name as "Haida G" of London.
