Description:

Tug Presque Isle, outbound Erie without its barge, 3 July 2004 at 1030 hours. The tug was on its way to Port Weller Dry Docks for repairs. To get there, it had to transit the Welland Canal, and its barge is too large to fit through the canal, so it was left at Erie.

Excellent shot jeff, love to see her out of the notch. i always miss her when she does though, one day i was at the canal when she was going through and drovethe whole thing and still missed her since the seaway info was wrong, it was a nice waste of gas and time, my fiancee wasnt too pleased either :(

Can't imagine she would be pleased with all the wasted time. I've managed to be lucky; this wass the second time I'd seen her out of the notch since 2000. And both times were in Erie.

For the lack of boats I otherwise see here (the Cornelius and Boland, mainly), I get extremely lucky once in a while.

Thanks for the comments about the photos!
